Setup steps
Activate development mode
- Install GTM Assistant on your development store.
- Open the app and go to Plans.
- Click “Click here to activate the app in development mode.”
- The app is now active. There’s no plan to pick and no charge to approve.
Connect your platforms and test
- Connect Google Tag Manager first, then the platforms you want to test. See the setup guides.
- Place test orders and check that each platform receives them.
When your store goes live
- Open the app and go to Plans.
- Choose the plan that fits your store. Every plan is billed through Shopify.
- Everything you connected in development carries over to your live store. There's nothing to reconnect.
Development mode is for stores that are still in development. Once your store is live, choose a plan to keep using GTM Assistant.
