This policy explains how Webgarh Solutions Private Limited ("Webgarh", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on gtmassistant.app (the "Site") and in the Webgarh GTM Assistant Shopify app (the "App"). It adds to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data generally.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's session storage and the tags that load measurement tools, work in much the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
2. Your choice comes first
When you first visit the Site, we ask what you allow, wherever you are. Until you accept, we use only the cookies the Site needs to work, and Google's tools are told that you have not consented. Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops those cookies from that point on; it does not undo use that took place before.

Session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab. Analytics and advertising cookies are kept for the period their provider sets, which for Google Analytics is up to two years, unless you delete them sooner. The providers use these cookies under their own privacy policies.
If we add any measurement or advertising tool, we will update this table before it goes live.
We do not use cookies to sell your data, and we do not allow third parties to use the Site's cookies for their own purposes beyond what is described here.
4. Cookies in the App
Inside Shopify, the App uses Shopify's own session mechanism to keep you signed in. We do not set advertising cookies in the App.
On a merchant's store, the App works on the merchant's behalf. It is built on Shopify's Customer Privacy API, so every customer's consent choice is respected before any event is sent. The App may store an identifier in the shopper's browser on the merchant's store, used only to provide the merchant's tracking. This is done for the merchant and is covered by the merchant's own cookie notice. Shoppers should contact the merchant about it.
5. Managing cookies
- Cookie settings in the Site footer lets you accept or refuse analytics and advertising cookies, and change your choice later.
- Your browser can block or delete cookies. If you block the cookies the Site needs, parts of it may not work.
- Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on all websites.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change, and show the new effective date at the top.
