Your Meta ROAS vs your Delivered ROAS
Ad platforms count an order the moment it's placed. Delivered ROAS counts it when it's delivered and paid.
Why the two numbers differ
When a COD order is refused or returned, the ad platform has already counted it as a sale. So the ROAS it reports includes revenue you never received, and its bidding learns to find more customers like the ones who didn't pay.
| Reported by the ad platform | Delivered | |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | 1,000 | 720 |
| Revenue | Rs 10,00,000 | Rs 7,20,000 |
| Ad spend | Rs 2,50,000 | Rs 2,50,000 |
| ROAS | 4.0 | 2.9 |
What we're building
Delivered ROAS by campaign, next to the ROAS each platform reports.
Teach the platforms. Send delivered outcomes back to Meta and Google, so they learn to find customers who pay.
Stop paying for orders that come back. Spot the campaigns where reported ROAS looks good and Delivered ROAS doesn't.
